Tomorrow I embark on a public speaking adventure. The Nebraska Book Festival has invited me to read from my 2010 work, Thirteen Cats LaVelle. The schedule has me speaking opposite a gentleman named Ted Kooser, two-time U.S. Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize winner. In the Midwestern book festival world, I would guess that Mr. Kooser has a Jagger-like following. Needless to say, there will be a few open seats at my reading space down the hall from the auditorium if you happen to be anywhere near the Nebraska History Museum in Lincoln at 3:30 tomorrow. Just saying.
